Welcome to My World

Welcome to Mind Body Spirit

It goes without saying that I am absolutely thrilled you’re here. Whether you’re looking for an alternative to talk therapy or want to learn more about intuitive energy work, you’ve come to the right space.

I founded Mind Body Spirit as a way to bridge the gap between traditional talk therapy and energy work. This decision came after years of straddling the space in my own life and growing frustrated with the lack of resources available for covering middle ground.

We Love a Quarter-Life Crisis - said no one ever.

I went through the classic stages of self-discovery in my early twenties and even went so far as to get a masters in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. I had no clue what I was doing or who I was, but traditional schooling seemed like my best bet.

When I graduated with the degree, I felt wildly out of touch with myself. I had difficulty following my gut instinct. I struggled with decision making because nothing quite felt like the right fit. I was often overwhelmed by the thought of letting other people down or being unable to fit into the box they wanted me to.

It was around this time that I discovered energy work. I had always had a sixth sense, but working with energy practitioners on honing my skills allowed me to get more fully in touch with who I was. Through my practice I developed a connection with my higher self. This entails being able to decipher between my energy and other peoples and connect with guides who want to come forward with specific messages.

My energy practice led me to become a Level Two Certified Reiki practitioner, deepening my spiritual connection. It also gave me the confidence to go back to school to become a therapist. After completing my Mental Health Counseling degree at Boston College, I started working in private practice and I began encountering clients who sought more than just traditional talk therapy.

Talk therapy is a beautiful thing. It can bring you closer to yourself. It can help you feel seen and heard. But it stops just short of really getting in touch with how you interact with yourself.

In therapy school, we learn about diagnosing clients, family systems and relationship dynamics. We are trained to handle crisis and addressing immediately concerns.

We are not taught how to handle self-doubt or learning how to work with clients on connecting to their gut instinct.

This massive gap in our training puts too many clients in the middle ground of self-uncertainty. After witnessing session after session of the same conversation, I thought about the ways to mitigate the void. The answer? Intuitive Energy work.

So what's Intuitive Energy Work?

The short answer:

Intuitive Energy work is a combination of talking, visualizations and tapping into your higher self in order to more accurately identify what feels right for you when it comes to decision making. The goal of each session is to help you come closer to yourself through awareness and inner guidance. This differs from traditional therapy as I work with clients to help you lean into yourself as opposed to using me as a crutch.
